This project aims to capture the unique personalities and beauty of beloved pets against the backdrop of our stunning local landscapes. I will also be introducing special, handcrafted wings during the sessions to add a unique touch to each portrait.

Where

The Avonmore Beach is situated between Long Sault and Cornwall along the beautiful St-Lawrence River. Make a day of it and enjoy the many things the St. Lawrence River has to offer.

FAQ

How Will I See The Pictures?

Once the images are ready, we'll schedule a virtual appointment. Please reserve about an hour to view and select your favorite images for your complimentary digital file. This appointment is your exclusive opportunity to make any purchases using your $100 product credit, including access to Special Packages and all regular products.

What If My Dog Has To Stay On A Leash?

For the majority of session the dogs are kept on a leash – I simply remove the leash in photoshop afterwards. If your dog usually wears a harness, please also bring a collar and fixed leash, as I can photoshop a leash out of the images afterwards, whereas harness’ are not usually possible to remove.

What To Wear?

This is an interactive experience! You will have the chance to actively participate in your session, whether it's holding your pet in the perfect position on their leash or holding a treat above the camera. Please bring two sets of clothing: one for when you are being photographed with your pet and one for when we are focusing solely on your dog. I will have my trailer with me, so you can change comfortably inside.

• DON’T match your pet’s fur colour, we don’t want you blending into each other. 😉 Lighter shirts on top give the pictures a more casual and bright look. Pastels are also usually appealing because they enhance natural skin tones. Dark Tones shirts on top give the portraits a more moody and thoughtful feel.

• Solid colours are best. No prints or patterns please

• Avoid tank tops and strapless tops. Sleeved clothing is best!  When arms and legs are exposed there will be more flesh in the photograph in those areas than on the face, itself.

• Make Up, Hair & Nails. Keep your hair simple and off your face as much as possible, we want your face to shine not be hidden! I will be trying poses where your hands are the focus.

• No accessories needed

• Shoes: Wear sturdy shoes you don’t mind getting wet and dirty for when we are working with your dog. For when its your turn have a pair of sandals or go barefoot.

What Else Can I Do To Prepare For The Session?

• PACK: Treats and/or Toys that your pet Absolutely Loves, we will use them as motivators.🎾

  • Towels

  • Leash and collar (avoid harness)

  • Rain Jacket incase it rains 🌧

• SAFETY: Ensure dogs arrive on leash. The beach is a dog friendly beach so their might be other dogs there.

• BREATH: There is no pressure for your pet(s) to behave or perform! We are going to have fun in a positive environment, if something doesn't work out, no worries we will try something else. 🧘🏻‍♀️

• Payment Plan: Pay just a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of ordering, then the remaining balance will be automatically charged to your credit card the next month, with products only ordered when payment is made in full. Payments are interest free.
