THE ONTARIO SPCA STORMONT, DUNDAS & GLENGARRY ANIMAL CENTER

WHO THEY ARE

The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society is a registered charity, established in 1873. The Society and its network of communities facilitate and provide for province-wide leadership on matters relating to the prevention of cruelty to animals and the promotion of animal well-being. Offering a variety of mission-based programs, including community-based sheltering, animal wellness services, provincial animal transfers, shelter health & wellness, high-volume spay/neuter services, animal rescue, animal advocacy, Indigenous partnership programs and humane education, the Ontario SPCA is Ontario’s animal charity.

Working together we can make a difference in the lives of countless animals in need.

WHAT THEY DO

Working with its communities of Ontario SPCA Animal Centres and Affiliated Societies, the Ontario SPCA educates on humane and appropriate animal care, reduces pet overpopulation through Spay/Neuter Services, raises awareness about unacceptable practices that harm animals, rescues animals in distress and provides care to all animals in need.

All of these efforts in support of animal welfare fall within several core programs and services offered by the Ontario SPCA:

  • adoptions

  • spay/neuter

  • shelter health & wellness

  • feral cat support

  • service the north

  • humane education

  • animal care

  • call centre

HOW YOU CAN HELP?

❤️🐾 LOCAL RESCUE SPOTLIGHT ❤️🐾

Supporting my local community is very important to me, which is why I started the local rescues and shelters spotlight blog series.

The purpose of this initiative is to bring awareness to the many local shelters, rescues and nonprofit organizations that we have in our community and to help animals available for adoption find their fur-ever homes.
