Adventure Dogs Fundraising Project
/As Unleash Pet Photography’s brand vision is to support local nonprofit animal organizations through different fundraising initiatives, I am always trying to find ways to support my pet community.🐾❤️
During the summer of 2022 I finally decided to be brave and try out my waterproof camera housing from Outex which had been sitting in my bookshelf collecting dust for 2 years! It was the scariest thing I had ever done! LOL🙀
Since I had so much fun playing in the water with my new toy I decided I wanted to do a summer special, but was worried it might be too late in the season. Then I saw the email from The FAM Network asking for help for some veterinarian bills so I took it as a sign and decided to go for it.
So the first Adventure Dog 🐾💦 Fundraising project was born!
I wanted the images created from the Adventure Dogs to be fun, beautiful panoramic landscapes of dogs in the water. However, I soon found out that not every dog is comfortable in the water, which is ok!🤗
To make sure that the “not so adventurous dogs” don’t miss out, I photographed them along the rocky shoreline or in the shallow water, just like Ruth & Elton, the adorable chihuahua duo below.
Summer 2022 raised $400 for the FAM Network!! 🎉
Because this was so much fun, I will be doing this event next summer. You can find out more about the project and how you can sign up by going to the Adventure Dog page by clicking here.
ABOUT THE CHARITY
The FAM Network fosters animals for survivors and their children who need to exit from domestic violence into the safety of local Violence Against Women (VAW) shelters or into a Transitional Housing Support Program.
They are veterinary clinics, fosters, behaviourists and sometimes your next-door neighbour.
They provide necessary veterinary intake and long or short-term fostering for the duration of a survivor’s stay in a shelter or in a THSP.
Upon exiting a shelter, they reunite owners with their pets so that they can move into a better future together. 🐾❤️
